Le “HAUT VAR” : North of the Var
Tradition and serenity: with its old perched villages not far from the Verdon Gorges: Cotignac, Tourtour the “village in the sky” dominating as far as the eye can see, its traditional Provencal villages: Villecroze, Aups, Entrecasteaux, Sillans La Cascade, Tourettes, Fayence, Seillans, where one can still find old stone country houses, charms of another age.

Prices generally decrease as you go inland from the Mediterranean coast. Old Mas and Bastides built of stones are still available in the north of the department. Nice traditional Provencal villas with swimming pool in the Inland offer good rental yields from Easter till October; there is a lack of gites and B&B, so still room to create some.
Plenty of exits off the motorway from Aix en Provence to Nice (Saint Maximin La Sainte Baume, Brignoles) .where you can easily reach roads leading inland and to its famous perched villages.
